“Sorry for the loss of Valerie. As my brother, Jerry, said that after we moved to Minnesota we didn't get together as a family much. The memories I have are from family gatherings at Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's for Christmas and the lovely(?) smell of lutefisk when we were all young.

“We were surprised and saddened to see the announcement of Valerie's death. I am her oldest surviving cousin on the Johnson side of the family and remember her more when she was very young. She and her mother Vivian stayed at times with our grandparents while Maynard was in the service. We saw much less of the whole family after we moved to Minn.”
